Installation for Road Kid, a performance by Sunderland youths working with Northern Stage Theatre Company.

Messages 1995
Designer for Messages project, at Hylton Castle, Sunderland. Commissioned by Opera North and Artists Agency to co-ordinate the community project with the Artistic Director and facilitate community workshops.

Other bits and pieces
Between 1995 and 1999, Gilly has been a regular visiting lecturer at Sunderland University, lecturing in 'Fine Art, on the B.A. courses, and 'Art in Context', on the M.A. Courses. She has also lectured in 'Professional practise', at Newcastle University to B.A. students.
From 1994 to 1997, Gilly was a member of the National Artists Association

Management team, during which time she worked on the 'Artist's Rights' programme, and the 1996 National conference.
In 1993, Gilly worked for Middlesbrough Community Education Coalition project implementing the National Curriculum for teachers.

During 1992, Gilly was a Management Committee member of 'Arts Resource', and in 1988 co-founded 'Festival Arts'.

Gilly is currently undertaking a practice led PhD at Sunderland University, researching the impact of funding strategies on artists practice and developing more sophisticated evaluation processes for Public Art.
