The Unconverted
I was invited to contribute to an exhibition entitled, 'Goddess', which seemed a rather outdated concept. Expecting the predictable exhibition of women's art, I decided to question the validity of 'Goddess', and its relevance to the twentieth century. The resulting work is a self-portrait that distorts classical representations of beauty and sexuality, and presents a mass-produced icon, chained to symbolise the inhibiting effect of perceiving women in such a superficial manner.
